After my degree as Foreign Language Corrispondent in a Swiss School I decided to work in tourism for German and UK travel agents. Since 1992 I am an authorized tourist guide with international experience working in Sicily since 1989, and guiding in Africa, Asia and South America

Urban Trekking Taormina Castelmola
We start in the pittoresque town Taormina and hike the hidden saracene path up to Castelmola. This is the place where almond wine was created! That's our moment to taste this speciality.
On our way down to the castle of Taormina we enjoy breathtaking views to Taormina and its ancient theater. This is the next stop on this tour.
Still not enough? Let's go to the enchanting public garden and descent to Isola Bella at the sea side. We can take the cable car to return to the departure point in Taormina
Catania and streetmarket
Immerse in the colours of the fish market, taste the sicilian street food, explore Catania's baroque Via Etnea, visit Sant Agata's shrine and climb the bell tower for a bird view on the town and Mt Etna overlooking everything.
Francavilla and Alcantara Gorges
A scenic hike around the ruins of the castle of Francavilla located on a steep rock overlooking the valley of the river Alcantara. We end at the hidden gorge of Santa Caterina for a bath in the icy cold river floating on its basaltic river bed.

More than 3000 tombs in the vertical limestone walls of Anapo River with its crystal clear waters await us on this up and down hike in the gorges
Wine Tastings
Around the pittoresque towns on the northern slopes of Mt. Etna we find several vinyards that should be on your to do list.
Driving along the fertile slopes of the volcano, we stop in the small towns built with black lava stones to taste granita, almond and pistacchio pastries, and visit several family run cellars for our wine tastings.
